MMT Quick Look: SWEETHEART

Happy Thursday MMT Fam! I’m looking forward to seeing the survival thriller SWEETHEART starring Kiersey Clemons – who co-starred in one of my favorite films in the past five years, “Dope.”

In “Sweetheart,” Clemons plays Jenn, a woman who finds herself shipwrecked and completely alone on a small island. In survival mode, she uses her daily strength, and wit, to find food and withstand the elements. But when the sun sets, Jenn must switch into a different sort of mode to outlast a predatory force that haunts the jungle in search of prey.

Now I’m normally not into castaway films – I still haven’t had the patience to sit through “Castaway!” – but add in a scary predator and it ups the viewing level for me. And the fact that it’s a Blumhouse Production is a definite plus!

You can check out the trailer below and get additional purchase information at the official website here.

SWEETHEART will be available on Digital and On Demand on October 22nd.
