Happy Sunday MMT Fam! Today we’re giving away a digital copy of one of my fave thriller’s from 2021, THE FOREVER PURGE, which is being released on Blu-ray and DVD this Tuesday, September 28.
In this “Purge” installment, the purgers decide to continue with the death and destruction mandate outside of the sanctioned time permitted. There is a significant focus on class disparity – like many of the former movies in the saga – with a highlight on immigration.
Here’s part of my thoughts from a post back in July, “Still more speculative thriller than horror, like the very first, the film is not for the squeamish, as it contains plenty of gore. But it is really clever in making the audience ponder the what ifs of today’s social climate and what could happen with lawlessness mixed with unruliness mixed with hate – or did we already see that in real time on January 6th…?”
If you’re a thrill-horror fan, enjoy those films with a social theme, and/or are a fan of the series, I think this one is definitely for you.
