Happy Tuesday MMT Fam! Yes, I went on an extended break for my birthday/vacay/Labor Day holiday, and I sure needed the rest before I start the Toronto International Film Festival virtually beginning this Thursday through next week. I am very excited, as this is my first TIFF experience, and am looking forward to sharing and discussing many upcoming releases with you in the next few weeks.
That being said, I will still be writing here infrequently over the next two and a half weeks, but not before I share some great giveaways with you this evening.
The first giveaway is in celebration of today’s digital release of FAST 9, which we gave away tix for last June and I gave brief thoughts on in a July 1 podcast.
Here’s the official synopsis: “Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) thought he’d left his outlaw life in the rear-view mirror, but not even he can outrun the past. When his forsaken brother Jakob (John Cena, Bumblebee) unexpectedly resurfaces as an elite assassin, the crew comes back together to help Dom confront the sins of his own past and stop a world-shattering plot. Franchise veteran Justin Lin returns to the director’s seat for F9 and delivers this supercharged version of the hit film. From extended action to spectacular scenes that weren’t shown in theaters, F9: The Director’s Cut explodes with additional content that can only be experienced on home entertainment!”
Want to put your name in the hat to win? Make sure you are subscribed (that includes clicking the link in the confirmation email that is sent after entering your email address), and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name in the body, the subject line “Thomasena’s birthday is” and the answer in the body. Hint: many of my old-time followers will easily find my birthday, but newbies can follow @musicfilmdiva on Twitter and Instagram and look for the date the AAFCA awards re-aired, or find the “Candyman” giveaway on this site.
Winners will be selected at random and notified via email on or by Thursday, September 9 and will subsequently receive a digital code to redeem at MoviesAnywhere.
“Fast 9” is available everywhere digital movies are sold (including digital retailers like iTunes, Vudu, and Amazon).
I appreciate every subscriber present and past – can you believe the 4th was MMT’s 10th anniversary? Look how far we’ve progressed! I started out with one specific site goal, and it has certainly expanded in a way I couldn’t have imagined. Thanks again for all of the comments, emails, and support over the years.
Good luck with your entries!
Until next thought, Thomasena
