Happy Friday MMT Fam! I know this is going to be a hot one, so know three things up front before entering the contest – you must be a subscriber, you must be active (I note those shares and feedback on social media 😉 ) and you must be quick!
MMT is giving away 5 pairs of tickets to the highly anticipated (and debated since the estate did not participate) TOLKIEN starring Nicholas Hoult in the titular role. This will be a special screening presented by Fathom Events and Fox Searchlight live on May 7 in King of Prussia, PA three days prior to the national release. There will also be a live Q&A with stars Hoult, Lily Collins and director Dome Karukoski that will be moderated by late night talk show host Stephen Colbert from the Montclair Film Festival
“Tolkien” explores the formative years of the renowned author’s life as he finds friendship, courage and inspiration among a fellow group of writers and artists at school. Their brotherhood strengthens as they grow up and weather love and loss together, including Tolkien’s tumultuous courtship of his beloved Edith Bratt, until the outbreak of the First World War which threatens to tear their fellowship apart. All of these experiences would later inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-earth novels, including “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings.”
“Tolkien” is written by David Gleeson (“Cowboys & Angels”) and Stephen Beresford (“Pride”), and stars Nicholas Hoult (“The Favourite”) as J.R.R. Tolkien with Lily Collins (“Okja”) as his future wife and muse Edith. The film also stars Colm Meaney, Anthony Boyle, Patrick Gibson, Tom Glynn-Carney, Craig Roberts, Derek Jacobi, Harry Gilby, Adam Bregman, Albie Marber, Ty Tennant, Laura Donnelly, Genevieve O’Reilly and Pam Ferris. “Tolkien” is produced by Peter Chernin, p.g.a., Jenno Topping, p.g.a., David Ready, p.g.a., and Kris Thykier p.g.a.
To put your name in the hat for a pair of passes, please adhere to the rules in the first paragraph and send an email to email@example.com with the subject line “Middle Earth” and your full name in the body. Winners will be selected and notified on Sunday, May 5.
Tickets for “Tolkien: Live From the Montclair Film Festival With Stephen Colbert” can be purchased at www.FathomEvents.com and participating theater box offices nationwide. You can watch a trailer for the movie and get additional info at the official website here.
