Happy Sunday MMT Fam! We have a special giveaway for the Philly/KOP area, but you have to be quick! We’ve been given several passes to screen THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING, starring Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton, which premieres in theaters this Friday, August 26. The screening is taking place this Tuesday, August 23 in King of Prussia.
Here’s the official summary: Dr Alithea Binnie (Tilda Swinton) is an academic – content with life and a creature of reason. While in Istanbul attending a conference, she happens to encounter a Djinn (Idris Elba) who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. This presents two problems. First, she doubts that he is real and second, because she is a scholar of story and mythology, she knows all the cautionary tales of wishes gone wrong. The Djinn pleads his case by telling her fantastical stories of his past. Eventually she is beguiled and makes a wish that surprises them both.
To try your luck at a pass, click here to get to the UA Releasing landing and select the “Get Passes” prompt. Tickets, like theater seating, are not guaranteed and first-come, first-served.
Good Luck!
