Is there any way to improve on the “Frozen” universe, with its already catchy tunes, funny quips, and positive girl-power and familial love themes? My answer to this question would have been not likely until viewing the latest 8-minute animated film short ONCE UPON A SNOWMAN, which premieres this Friday, October 23 on Disney+.
An origin story for the lovable character Olaf, voiced by the hilariously charming Josh Gad, the film fits perfectly into the original movie, using some of its scenes from Olaf’s perspective to establish his origin prior to him meeting Princess Anna and Kristoff in the forest.
The film is extremely cute, funny, and heartwarming – I’ve watched it twice already and it encouraged me to revisit the first film!
And at 8-minutes long, it’s a perfect viewing for those anxious little ones if you need a few minutes to breathe and something positive to put on while doing so!
I rate it 5 out of 5 on the MMTrometer.
