MMT Recommends: week three of #ThingsToDoFromHome

Happy Friday MMT Fam! I hope you’ve been enjoying the recommendations shared – with various streaming, TV, and online happenings that you and/or the family can enjoy from home. You can start with tonight’s free live stream of The Hunger Games, courtesy of Lionsgate, and in partnership with the Will Rogers Pioneers Assistance fund – who are introducing “Lionsgate LIVE “A Night at the Movies.” Join host Jamie Lee Curtis on Friday nights at 6:00 pm PT/ 9:00pm ET for four nights of free movies as everything we love about the movie theatre is celebrated, and the people who make them extraordinary are supported by making a donation. Our friends at The Kimmel Center are continuing to offer great interactive events via its webpage, The Show Must Go On, – a virtual hub and one-stop-shop cultural calendar. And tomorrow, Saturday April 18, The Kimmel has organized a fun opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy some Latin music with DJ and host Kevin Ngo – as its monthly free Latin music dance party, La NOCHE, takes over its Instagram to share some of his favorite Latin hits. On Sunday, April 19^th at 5 PM EDT, award-winning celebrity photographer Timothy White will be doing a Behind The Lens Livestream on Morrison Hotel Gallery’s Instagram. White is one of the world’s most sought-after celebrity photographers. For over 30 years, he has worked with an endless number of A-list stars of the stage, screen, and recording studio. The New Jersey native, who was inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2019, is well-known for his brilliance in capturing an entire story in one split-second click of the shutter. He has worked with everyone from Sophia Loren and Angelina Jolie to Arnold Schwarzenegger and John Travolta; from Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney to Billy Joel, Aretha Franklin and Bon Jovi. White has created timeless portraits and some of the most iconic movie posters and album covers the world has ever known. And lastly, from our friends at the Wizard World Virtual Experience: Lethal Weapon star Gary Busey and four “RWBY” standouts – superstars Lindsay Jones, Kara Eberle, Arryn Zech and Barbara Dunkelman – will participate in the next two “Wizard World Virtual Experience” events on Tues., April 21 and Thurs. April 23, respectively. The live Q&A panels are FREE for fans to view (on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube) and to submit questions in text chat. Separately fans may purchase live video chat sessions, recorded videos and autographs. During each session, the celebrities will participate in a free live moderated video Q&A, followed by one-on-one video chats, recorded videos and autographs that are available to purchase.
