MMT Recommends: week 9 of #ThingsToDoFromHome

Hello MMT Fam! I am putting up this week’s post, more to distract and give myself a quick break from all of the bleak news we’re experiencing currently. I won’t preach or get on a soap box, but I will ask that all the conscious readers, activists, allies, prayer warriors and the like take some time to restore and conserve energy, that you may continue to operate effectively during this time, and continue to be encouraged.

So, here’s my offering of various streaming, TV, and online suggestions that you and/or the family can enjoy from home. And remember many options are also shared on Instagram and/or the MMT Facebook page throughout the week.

  • Our friends at the Philadelphia Film Society are continuing virtual streaming offerings of newly released films, including titles like “Military Wives” and “Inheritance,” and kicking of its PFS Speaker Series on Wednesday, June 3 with Academy Award® Winner & Philly-Area Native Adam McKay (The Big ShortViceSuccession), who will sit down with PFS Executive Director J. Andrew Greenblatt to discuss Robert Altman’s classic “Nashville (1975),” a film personally selected by McKay for the discussion. The Zoom webinar cost $5 and tickets will be available for purchase until 6:30 PM on June 3.  Click HERE to find out where to watch the film before the virtual Q&A, and get additional info by clicking the hyperlinks or here to go to the PFS website.
